Wow, talk about Al-Qaida...Let me get this straight, I can order God to kill someone I don't like...right? Tiffany Stanley wrote an article that appeared on Religious News Service about Pastor Wiley Drake offering up an imprecatory prayer to God, asking Him to kill President Obama. Examples of imprecatory prayers are those where God is asked to visit some bad stuff like taking away cable vision, swallowing them up in an earthquake, or if they are Conservatives, making them watch Keith Olberman. Drake is not alone in ordering God to do harm. Gordon Klingenschmitt, a former U.S. Navy chaplain, issued a whopper against the Rev. Barry Lynn, of Americans United for the Separation of Church and State; and Michael Weinstein, founder of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation. Did he really ask God to - get this: “cut off their descendants” and “replace them with Godly people,“...in the name of Jesus? Wow, talk about fatwahs! RSS |
